A leading company in the public transport sector seeks a dedicated Trainer to develop and manage training programs for Bus Engineering staff. This role requires a strong background in Engineering and a passion for technical training, focusing on enhancing staff competencies and maintaining accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in training development and delivery.
You will ensure that the Bus Engineering staff are adequately trained, competent and future-ready to operate and maintain the equipment and vehicles. You will build and maintain capability in providing in-house technical training and continual training for technicians and engineers. You will upkeep and management of training centre and facilities
Workforce Skills Assessment & Certification
Develop training programs to upskill technicians and other relevant personnel
Engage and develop strategic partnership with external stakeholders like SGBA, SSG and WSG to identify PT Bus Engineering Skills Framework including Skills & competency map and training programmes
Ensure conformance to WSH policy and ISO Quality Management System, Asset Management System, Bus Continuity Management System, etc.
Curriculum Development
Maintain accreditation status for WSQ training and seek new certifications
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to identify key knowledge and skills associated with learning objectives
Ensure effective knowledge retention and build effective learning materials including eLearning content using authoring tools (eg MS PowerPoint and others)
Conduct review and quality assurance checks of training standards for training programs implemented
Conduct periodic review of curricula, training courseware and assessment methodology with relevant stakeholders
Lead the development and review of On-the-Job training (OJT) blueprint for Engineering related training modules
Support SGBA in curriculum development and skills assessment of Technicians
Manage change and drive the E-learning course modules for initial training, refresher training and blended training
Develop curriculum for new products (eg. Hybrid and Electric Bus)
Technical Training
Administer and coordinate in-house and external training including those organized by vendors
Identify and implement new training interventions and methodologies
Conduct stand-up training
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 4 years of working experience in Electrical Engineering or Automotive industry preferred
Preferably with certification in ACTA / ACLP
Excellent communication and writing skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Familiar with eLearning platforms
Excellent decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong training & development skills
Accustomed to meeting deadlines, prioritize and deliver quality results in a time-sensitive environment
