Job Description

The NTU Sustainability Office aims to provide strategic advice and track the sustainability performance of various NTU initiatives. It will also promote sustainability awareness and plan, organize and track sustainability initiatives and programmes to integrate into our education, research, and community engagement efforts. As part of the team, you will help formulate sustainability strategies, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to design and implement initiatives that reduce environmental impact, encourage sustainable behaviour on campus, enhance operational efficiency, and support the university’s broader goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement campus-wide sustainability initiatives (e.g., resource efficiency, community engagement) to help NTU achieve its’ sustainability goals

  • Lead the integration of sustainability into academic programmes and student learning experiences

  • Support the tracking, analysis, and interpretation of sustainability performance data to inform reporting, planning, and continuous improvement

  • Contribute to sustainability communications, including the preparation of reports, award nominations, and other knowledge-sharing platforms

  • Collaborate with other offices and departments to embed sustainability into operations, policies, and campus culture

  • Contribute to the NTU’s sustainability performance benchmarking efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, Business, or Social Sciences

  • Relevant experience in a sustainability-related role, or strong domain knowledge in environment and sustainability is preferred

  • Proven experience in planning, executing, and managing projects related to sustainability (e.g., energy, carbon footprint, water, food, waste, climate)

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive projects forward

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Proficient in writing, storyboarding, and presentations, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility
