Job Purpose

The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager will be responsible for providing operations and administrative support in the Department of Ophthalmology. Working closely with various stakeholders, the individual will play a crucial role in supporting the department in achieving financial, management, and quality patient care outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)
  • Assist the Department Managers in developing and executing business plans with the clinical head of department to meet goals.
  • Help achieve volume and financial targets for assigned clinical services.
  • Manage business aspects including annual financial budgeting, review, expenditure, and ensuring cost recovery.
  • Monitor operational data and indices, providing analysis as needed, including TEPMS indicators.
  • Conduct regular reviews with clinical and operations leads to develop new services and workplans.
  • Procure and manage key logistics and CAPEX needs in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support Value Driven Outcome Projects.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)
  • Disseminate and implement hospital policies and procedures, ensuring timely communication, issue escalation, and solution implementation.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are current.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
