A leading company in aviation is seeking a Senior Executive/Assistant Manager for HSE & Facilities. Qualifications

  • Experience in Aviation industry preferred.

Job description

Position:Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (HSE & Facilities)

Accountable to:Quality and Excellence Manager

HSE, Facility and Security as main responsibility and back up for Quality/Risk management.

Job scope:

Main responsibilities of the Assistant Manager (HSE & Quality)

· Advise and support management to discharge their statutory duties under the WSH Act, including relevant provisions of Fire Safety Act, Environmental Management & Protection Act.

· Assist management in the identification of workplace safety and health and environmental risks; review, recommend and support management to implement the necessary control measures.

· Keep Track of new/updates to EHS regulations, communicate and support management to implement the changes

· Communicate and coordinate with local EHS regulatory authorities and building landlord. Apply and maintain EHS permits/licenses where necessary

· Advise and support Management in the deployment of Safran Group-level EHS policies, objectives, Reference Standards, programs and tools

· Be the focal point for Group EHS reporting and compliance matters. Collaborate closely with Regional EHS and Group's Low Carbon initiatives

· Maintain EHS management documents, update EHS procedures and processes.

· Monitoring and reporting EHS performance on a regular basis, including timely incident investigations and reporting.

· Review and identify EHS competency training for the different job functions

· Conduct internal EHS training (induction, risk assessments, etc.)

· Coach and support Management and response team in emergency preparedness, response plans and procedures; and to organize periodic emergency drills and table-top exercises.

· Conduct internal EHS inspections and audits for legal and Group EHS compliance, recommend continual improvements.

· Review and endorse EHS Permit to work

· Qualifying contractors and suppliers to ensure that they comply with the company’s EHS standards and policies.

· Organizing EHS awareness activities and promotional programs for Safran Helicopter Engines and Safran Singapore's site staff.

· Facility and security management - Managing facility related service provider including cleaning, maintenance and security services.

· Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned and being the backup for quality/risk manager.

Requirements:

· Minimum WSQ Specialist Diploma Level C; or a recognized Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or other specialties relevant to Workplace Safety and Health

· MOM - Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer, with 5 year of safety experience

· Good knowledge of ISO14001/ISO45001 requirements and experience in Aviation industry are preferred

· Good understanding and knowledge on WSH Act, Fire and environmental & other legal requirements

· Pro-active, Self-directed, possess good interpersonal skills and able to lead and perform under pressure

· Provide leadership in WSH and act as a role model of good WSH practice and professionalism to management, co-workers and other stakeholders

· Experience in leading a team will be an added advantage
