Job description

OVERVIEW
We are seeking a driven and meticulous finance professional to join our team. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable transactions, maintenance of financial records, and support in financial analysis and reporting. This role also involves upholding strong financial governance and contributing to finance system enhancements
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payables, including verification of supplier invoices and payment processing.
  • Maintain and update monthly finance schedules, such as Direct Debit and Prepayment schedules, and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement and uphold internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with the Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards (SB-FRS).
  • Maintain accurate financial records, analyse and report financial data to support monthly and annual closing activities.
  • Participate in system upgrades and enhancements, particularly in ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and finance-related web applications.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by coordinating with auditors and relevant departments.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • A degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field, with a preference for candidates with an Accountancy background.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP financial systems (e.g. SAP) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform financial computations, reconciliations and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly meticulous, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and adopt financial systems and analytical tools.
