Job summary

Ocean Network Express seeks an experienced Data Scientist to develop and productionize ML solutions across forecasting, computer vision, NLP, and supply chain analytics. You will own the full ML lifecycle from data prep to monitoring, deploying models on cloud infrastructure with CI/CD and containerization.

The role requires strong Python/SQL, PyTorch, and Docker skills, plus experience with regression, trees, and transformers. Knowledge of supply chain domain is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Data Science development with production model deployment.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Data Science development experience deploying models at production level.

• Experience with ML in supply chain or operations is a plus.

• Develop machine learning (ML) solutions across forecasting, computer vision, document extraction, supply chain analytics, inventory optimization, and other operational use cases.
• Own the ML lifecycle from data preparation and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Productionize ML solutions using CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, versioning, testing, and monitoring on cloud infrastructure.
• Translate supply chain and operational challenges into data science, ML, and optimization solutions with measurable impact.
• Evaluate approaches from statistical and tree-based models to deep learning, Transformers, Computer Vision, and multimodal models, using AutoML where appropriate.
• Support in ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or other STEM majors.
• Strong background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of hands on Data Science development experience deploying models at the production level
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, PyTorch, Git and Docker.
• Strong knowledge from regression and tree models (XGBoost) to Deep Learning and Transformers.
• Experience across structured data, forecasting, Computer Vision, document extraction/NLP, or optimization problems.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying end-to-end ML pipelines, including CI/CD, containerization, orchestration and monitoring. GCP preferred (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run/GKE).
• Experience with AutoML and ML frameworks for rapid prototyping, benchmarking and productionization.
• Ability to translate supply chain, operational and business problems into practical data science and ML solutions.
• Ability to explain complex ML solutions and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership, Agile/Scrum experience (GitHub, Jira), and proficient in verbal and written communication.
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management knowledge will be an advantage
