A leading company is looking for a communications specialist to enhance engagement through strategic content and digital media. Key responsibilities include writing executive correspondence, managing publications, and overseeing social media strategies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong interpersonal skills, and has experience in both corporate and digital communications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Communications & Collateral Development
Draft and refine executive correspondence, including official letters, speeches, talking points and presentation materials for Management and key office bearers.
Develop content for newsletters, EDMs, press releases, brochures, event collaterals, notices and internal updates.
Support media engagement by assisting with basic media liaison, media queries and drafting of holding statements or press responses.
2. Publications Management
Lead the end-to-end production of the Annual Report, including content collation, stakeholder coordination, copy editing and layout planning
3. Website Management and The Graduate Microsite
Curate and write thought-leadership or community pieces (2–3 monthly).
Support SEO strategies and contribute to web content that enhances user engagement.
4. Social Media & Engagement Analytics
Plan, curate and execute a structured content calendar across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram and YouTube.
Translate organisational updates, initiatives and events into compelling visual and narrative formats that resonate with target audiences.
Monitor social media performance using analytics tools, track key engagement metrics and prepare monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
5. Event Communications & Annual General Meeting
Provide communications support for key events, including pre-event promotion and post-event reporting.
Assist in the planning and execution of AGM materials and logistics (e.g., notices, minutes, visual assets).
6. Corporate Merchandise & Branding
Oversee merchandise branding and promotions, including content development and vendor coordination.
Contribute ideas for merchandise aligned with member interests and brand positioning.
7. Photography & Media Asset Management
Coordinate photography and videography coverage for key events, liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Maintain and organise the Society’s digital media gallery for archiving and future content use.
8. Media & Public Relations
Act as a secondary point of contact for media engagements and support media hosting at NUSS events.
Assist in drafting media responses and monitoring relevant coverage as required.
9. Committee & Secretariat Support
Provide administrative and logistical support to assigned Sub-Committees, Panels, or Task Forces, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minutes writing, and follow-up action tracking.

Requirements
Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, New Media, or a related field.
At least 3–4 years of experience in communications, preferably with exposure to both corporate and digital content.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across a range of platforms.
Familiarity with WordPress, Canva, basic video editing, and CMS tools; knowledge of HTML is an advantage.
Solid understanding of social media best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Well-organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
A team player with a proactive mindset and a keen eye for brand consistency.
