Yayasan MENDAKI is seeking a program support officer on a 2-year contract to enhance community resilience through engagement and educational initiatives. The role involves managing partnerships, coordinating programs, and supporting daily operations while working closely with various stakeholders to foster impactful community-oriented projects.
Job Summary
The jobholder (COS for 2 2-year contract) supports the Future Ready department in its efforts to ensure the MM community is resilient and equipped for the future. The role involves supporting the executive officers in planning, executing, and evaluating community-focused events, programmes, and internal operations, including engagement activities and collaborations with community partners to drive impactful programmes. The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work on some weekends, weeknights, and public holidays to support organisation events as required.
The jobholder is responsible for the following areas:
Partnership Management
1) Stay updated on youth engagement trends, employment, education, and
community issues relevant to Malay/Muslim at the community, national, and global levels
2) Support the department in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new partners to drive impactful programmes, explore new initiatives, and support the PN efforts.
Programme Support and Operations
1) Support the operations of Future Ready programmes and initiatives, including in the areas of publicity, manpower, and logistics, for the successful delivery of programmes.
2) Solicit and collate programme feedback from participants and partners.
3) Maintain the database of youth participants, professionals, partners and resource persons.
4) Tracking of KPIs for the Future Ready programmes team.
5) Assist in other key Future Ready initiatives for Malay/Muslim youths such as Youth@M3, #MakingConnections and other network engagement sessions.
Other Administrative Duties
1) Support the department in generating purchase orders.
2) Assist the department in budgeting and monitoring, and reconciling budget utilisation.
3) Contribute to monthly department reports for updates to the management team.
4) Any other duties as assigned by the FR leadership team and MENDAKI management as a whole.
Requirements
Diploma in Business Administration/ Project Management or other related degrees.
2-3 years of experience in programme/events delivery and management, and stakeholder engagement and management.
Good understanding of MM demographics, growth sectors, and employment and career landscapes. Interest in education and community issues.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.
Able to communicate persuasively and possess excellent communication skills(written and verbal).
Proactive and motivated, as well as a team player.
Strong administrative and project management skills, and detail-oriented.
