Overview
Job Responsibilities We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Senior Executive to support our Business Units with strategic financial insights and operational guidance. This role is responsible for analyzing financial performance, ensuring accurate accounting and timely month-end closings, driving cost efficiency, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will also contribute to process improvements, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and engage closely with key stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to provide financial advice and support to our Business Units, including analysing the financial performance and providing financial data to business units for decision making.
- Ensure all transactions of the business units are properly and accurately accounted for.
- Ensuring regular review and smooth and timely closing of accounts for the business units monthly, including identifying any unusual transactions and movements of account balances.
- Ensuring that balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and closure of open items accurately and on a timely basis for review by auditor.
- Evaluate cost efficiencies in various areas of the Business Units
- Participate in the Annual Budgeting and Monthly Forecasting processes
- Assist to drive process improvements and recommend internal controls to be put in place
- Operational engagements and management of key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required, including adhoc projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or other professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA
- Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in auditing or accounting with large organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
Skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills, meticulous and able to work independently as well as within a team in a dynamic, fast-paced and cohesive environment
- Quick learner who demonstrates initiative, detail-oriented and adhere to tight deadlines
- Experience in delivering changes, system enhancements, business process improvements and managing a non-finance function will be an added advantage.
Job Location & Schedule
- Genting Centre
- 5 days/week in-office
- Flexibility to support occasional weekend work during critical reporting periods (e.g., month-end closing) may be required
