Job description

  • Location: Labrador Park (5 mins walk from MRT)

  • 6 months contract (subject to conversion)

  • Strong experience in Tax Regulation, GST and Financial Reporting

Responsibilities:

Consolidation of Group financial report

· Prepare the consolidated financial report for the Group with analytical review of the variances.

· Prepare the group monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidated financial report for submission to Group according to the prescribed timeline.

Group management reporting

· Prepare various group management reporting requirements for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.

· Prepare the group financial performance analysis with appropriate explanation on the variances and input on areas of improvement.

Tax management and reporting

· Source for tax advisory directly or indirectly through tax advisors to plan for appropriate exposure to direct and indirect taxes.

· Participate in research on domestic and international indirect tax issues and propose tax efficient alternatives for management consideration.

· Prepare quarterly GST and monthly SST report and ensure accuracy and timeliness of GST/SST filing

· Prepare corporate tax and deferred taxation for the Group and liaise with Tax Unit and External Tax Agent to ensure timely filing

· Consolidate and ensure accuracy and timeliness of Withholding Tax (WHT) filing.

· Participate in Transfer Pricing document and Permanent Establishment assessment/study.

Preparation of Group Yearly Budget

· Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of Group Yearly Budget and 5 years forecast.

· Engage with divisional focal persons in the budgeting process and budget consolidation before submission to the management team for endorsement.

Support for Corporate exercise

· Provide key input and support in assessment for all corporate business development exercise including S&P agreement, JV agreement and Operations agreements.

Closure of external audit exercise

· Prepare the consolidated year-end financial statement for the Group with accuracy and completeness for finalization with the external auditors.

· Provide support in the closure of relevant audit issues raised by external auditors.

· Provide analysis for the preparation of board papers for approval of the consolidated Group audited financial results.

Balance Score Card management

· Track and update the performance against balance score card and key risk indicator on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Support for Financial Reporting Control (FRC) testing

· Perform the role as assessor for specific financial control functional checklist assigned and provide accurate assessment with supporting evidence to complete the FRC testing in timely manner.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field

· At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting role

· COMPETENCIES: Financial Acumen, Analytical Skills, Financial Technical Proficiency, Attention to Details, Communication Skills, Ethical Conduct

· Knowledge or Experience in Major Exporter Scheme will be an added advantage

· Ability to meet tight deadline

· Immediate Starter
