Job description

Purpose

Inspire the church to worship God through the use of music and appropriate forms of worship arts and to edify Christians to evangelise the world through Sunday services and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the worship planning process with the church pastoral team with the goal of realizing the church mission and vision of a missional community through worship arts.
• Develop worship plans and liturgies in collaboration with the pastoral team and establish standards for church worship activities.
• Support, lead and give guidance to the worship team in every Sunday production and major corporate programs
• Oversee the incorporation of music, technical arts (Audio Visual Lights) and other forms of creative arts with the Media Comms Team in a contemporary style of worship in the church
• Work with heads of youth, children and seniors ministry to create a worship culture and worship leading opportunities which they may participate.
• Develop creative teams through training and alliances with worship schools and create internship opportunities to nurture members and people for Christian service.
• Ensure copyright compliance and the continued subscription of song licenses, visual software programs and video resources purchased to enhance the ministry experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in any discipline with 8-10 years of spiritual leadership experience in the field of music and worship arts. Preferably possess theological qualifications.
• Must be a self-disciplined, self-motivated, hard-working individual who is willing to put in the time and give the effort to accomplish ministry with excellence.
