Job summary

JL EMPLOYMENT & RECRUITMENT AGENCY is seeking an experienced technician to inspect, maintain and repair excavators and heavy equipment. You will diagnose hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults, inspect engines and undercarriage, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation on site.

You will read hydraulic schematics and wiring diagrams, identify root causes and recommend effective repair solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in excavator repair and maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with excavator engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and undercarriage components.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic pressure, hydraulic flow, pumps, valves and hydraulic motors.
• Good understanding of engine performance and engine-hydraulic system operation.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, sensor and control-system faults.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics, electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Good knowledge of excavator components, common failure modes and repair methods.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of excavators and related heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system faults.
• Inspect excavator engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and undercarriage components.
• Conduct testing and fault diagnosis using appropriate diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, electrical wiring diagrams and technical service manuals.
• Identify root causes of equipment faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment is in safe and proper working condition.
