Job summary

VANGUARD INTERNATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an engineer to own, maintain and improve key equipment KPIs—quality, uptime and cost.

You will sustain performance, coordinate with process and manufacturing teams, and manage maintenance expenditures while driving continuous improvement. Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Microelectronics Engineering.
• Min 2 years of relevant work experience in Thinfilm CVD Equipment.
• An excellent team player with good interpersonal, communication and written skills.
• Strong logical thinking capability and good analytical skill.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain and improve Quality, Uptime and Cost indices.
• Sustain equipment KPI and drive continuous improvements to performance.
• Monitor and control equipment performance; optimize PM procedures for effectiveness.
• Coordinate with process and manufacturing Engineers to meet module objectives.
• Manage logistics for parts to prevent uptime losses due to equipment failure.
• Manage expenditure for equipment maintenance without compromising quality output.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs on equipment.
• Coach and mentor subordinates; provide performance feedback.
• Document corrective actions and Best Known Methods for ROI and learning.
• Participate in CIP programs to optimize equipment utilization and cost of maintenance.
• Become the technical expert for the machine specialization.
• Use SPACE to monitor SPC charts; JMP for engineering experiments; measure instruments for data collection.
• Understand FMEA and generate FMEA analysis for new tools to identify top risks.
• Create PROMIS (SiView) DC OP and SPC charts.
• Coordinate new equipment start-ups to support production.
• Wafer scrap reduction mindset; follow-up on SPSR, MRB, 8D, TECN, ECN.
