Job summary

Dyson’s Singapore Advanced Manufacturing site seeks a Senior Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead the Shift Line Maintenance Team in day‑to‑day operations and achieve KPI targets for yield, scrap, OEE and build plan attainment.

You will drive improvements in uptime, capability and cost, oversee spare parts management, resolve equipment issues and develop the team’s skills, while collaborating with Product, Process and Manufacturing Systems Engineering to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Automation Engineering.
• 8+ years in highly automated manufacturing maintenance with 3+ years in leadership.
• Deep knowledge of PLCs, servo drives, vision systems and dispensing systems.
• Strong command of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, analytical problem solving and MES implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Shift Line Maintenance Team in SAM’s operations and KPI delivery.
• Propose and lead initiatives to improve uptime, capabilities, efficiency and cost.
• Lead investigations of equipment breakdowns and quality excursions using systematic problem solving.
• Oversee spare parts management to ensure high availability and cost-efficient inventory.
• Develop a Line Maintenance talent pool through recruitment, deployment and career progression.
• Collaborate with Product, Process, MES and other teams to address operational needs.

About the role

As a Senior Equipment Maintenance Manager, you will lead the Shift Line Maintenance Team in supporting Singapore Advanced Manufacturing’s day-to-day operations and delivering KPI targets for yield, scrap, OEE and build plan attainment. You will drive improvements in equipment uptime, capability, operational efficiency and cost, oversee spare parts management, resolve equipment and process issues, and develop the team’s capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Shift Line Maintenance Team in supporting SAM’s day-to-day operations and delivering KPI targets for yield, scrap, OEE and build plan attainment.
• Propose and lead initiatives and projects to meet operational and strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement in equipment uptime, equipment capabilities, operational efficiency and cost.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of equipment breakdowns and process or quality excursions using a systematic problem-solving approach.
• Oversee the establishment of a comprehensive spare parts management system to ensure high spare availability and optimal inventory management and drive cost reduction through local sourcing and tool life extension projects.
• Develop a Line Maintenance talent pool with the expertise, skills and knowledge to meet work demands, including recruitment, resource deployment, performance evaluation and career progression.
• Ensure effective collaboration with Product, Process, Manufacturing Systems Engineering teams and other departments to address operational issues and business needs.

About you

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Automation Engineering.
• More than 8 years’ experience in highly automated manufacturing maintenance, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Deep knowledge of PLCs, high-precision servo drives, high-accuracy vision systems and high-precision adhesive dispensing systems.
• Strong command of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, analytical problem solving and MES implementation.
