Job summary

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) invites applications for a Senior Enterprise Software Engineer who combines deep technical craftsmanship with leadership. You will own broad, ambiguously-scoped projects, drive architectural standards, and uplift the team’s engineering capabilities.

You will guide junior engineers, manage stakeholder alignments, ensure enterprise configurations are resilient and secure, and contribute to data migrations, automation, and governance across the Whole of Government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps software engineering within Agile/SCRUM environments, with large-scale, high-availability enterprise systems.
• Proficiency with modern front-end and back-end web technologies (Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, Node.js, CSS).
• Experience with ETL and AWS for complex data migrations.
• Familiarity with SaaS, Bespoke, and COTS solutions, including procurement/ERP (e.g., Ivalua).
• Automation across the development lifecycle to maximize engineering efficiency and reliability.
• Experience with Government Cloud ecosystems (GCC) and SG Tech Stack is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Public sector data protection and compliance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture delivery, platform extensions, and multi-module workflows for large-scale enterprise systems.
• Mentor junior engineers, align stakeholders, and drive governance and security standards.
• Advance automation, tests, CI/CD pipelines, and migration strategies to improve DevX and delivery risk.
