Position: Senior Enrolled Nurse
Responsibilities

MINDS Clinic, under MINDS Community-Based Support Services (CSS), responds to emerging needs of PWIDs and caregivers in the community. CSS aims to serve the unserved and underserved, enhancing integration and community living for caregivers and PWIDs.

The Developmental Disability Nursing team at MINDS Clinic plays a vital role in caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities of all ages to achieve optimal health outcomes. The Enrolled Nurse focuses on health promotion, illness prevention, and community care. They report to the Head of Health Services and work alongside clinic doctors to support staff and clients.

The goal is to realize MINDS Clinic's vision of being a centre of excellence in developmental and intellectual disability healthcare, bridging social and medical gaps for effective healthcare management throughout clients' lifespan.

Clerical and Administrative Support
  • Attend to clients courteously, upholding quality service standards
  • Perform triage and registration
  • Manage front-desk duties including appointments, billing, and inquiries (email/phone/walk-in)
  • Handle insurance/Medisave claims submission and verification
  • Chaperone doctors and clients during examinations
  • Coordinate staff meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Clinical Support

Patient Care Management: Support clinic doctors, ensure client safety during procedures, and provide nursing care and procedures to ensure client comfort.

Patient Education
  • Coordinate individual and group learning programmes with patients and caregivers
  • Communicate treatment plans with patients and families
Programme Management & Development
  • Assist with the clinic's screening and vaccination programmes
  • Support training workshops as needed
Qualifications

NITEC in Nursing or higher qualification

Additional Information
  • Technically skilled and competent
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in social services or health sector preferred
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team
  • Experience with Medisave claims is an advantage
  • Phlebotomy skills are an advantage
