Senior Engineering Technician

General Summary:

As an Engineering Technician, you will frequently collaborate with Engineers across Qualcomm to optimize the utilization of our equipment and components. You will play a key role in the preliminary stages of our technical processes. Engineering Technicians will also be responsible for upkeeping and implementing operations and safety standards in the workplace to ensure all components of our equipment are properly handled.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• OR Associate's degree and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
• OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of Engineering Technician or related work experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently transports and installs equipment weighing at least 25 lbs.

Job Function:

Perform reballing for integrated circuits. Conduct failure analysis scanning - X-ray and CSAM. Repair prototype assembly hardware.

Skills/Experience:

We are looking for a candidate who will be able to support our expansion. The candidate should have exposure to a semiconductor manufacturing environment with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in reballing, X-ray, and CSAM. Good communication skills are required as the job will involve communicating with internal customers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform re-balling.
• Conduct non-destructive Level 1 Failure Analysis tests: X-ray and C-SAM.
• Repair prototype assembly hardware, including the extraction and mounting of integrated circuits.

Requirements:

Diploma in Engineering, preferably Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, preferably with hands-on experience in component soldering, re-balling, X-ray, and CSAM.
