Overview

The Engineering Manager Process Safety ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operations across Henkel Adhesives APAC by leading risk assessments, implementing PSM systems, promoting safety culture, and collaborating cross-functionally to manage process safety risks throughout the production lifecycle and facility design.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain site-specific Process Safety Management (PSM) systems aligned with Henkel Global standards and local regulations.
  • Lead and facilitate risk assessments using methodologies like HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA, and more.
  • Maintain and periodically review the Basis of Safety (BoS) documentation and associated risk studies.
  • Investigate process safety incidents and near misses, identify failed barriers, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report process safety KPIs, including PSI and PSNM.
  • Provide guidance during Management of Change (MoC) processes and ensure readiness of Process Safety Critical Equipment (PSCE).
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
  • Support engineering teams with RAGAGEP interpretation and safeguard design.
  • Coordinate advanced safety studies (e.g., QRA, DHA, SIL verification).
  • Develop and deliver process safety training.
  • Act as the regional focal point for process safety matters and regulatory compliance.
