Job summary

JAC Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the project Engineering Department for a major Singapore-based development. You will oversee drawing, architectural, engineering and QA/QC teams to ensure design and construction excellence.

Key duties include providing technical guidance on concrete and steel works, resolving technical issues with consultants and stakeholders, and driving project execution strategies while mentoring diverse engineering teams on site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale building construction projects.
• Proven engineering management experience across design, construction and QA/QC.
• Experience delivering major developments (commercial, mixed-use, high-rise, institutional or landmark).
• Strong stakeholder management with consultants, design firms, clients and contractors.
• Business-level English communication with multinational teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project Engineering Department including Drawing, Architectural, Engineering and QA/QC teams.
• Review and provide technical guidance on structural concrete and structural steel works.
• Coordinate and resolve design and construction-related technical issues with consultants and stakeholders.
• Drive engineering reviews, technical decisions and project execution strategies.
• Manage project progress and timely resolution of engineering and construction challenges.
• Ensure coordination among design, engineering, construction and quality teams.
• Oversee quality, safety and construction program management from an engineering perspective.
• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Act as key liaison between consultants, clients, contractors and internal departments.
