A leading company in semiconductor solutions is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for overseeing supplier quality management and implementing continuous improvements. The role involves interacting with suppliers, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with quality standards to enhance production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
On-Site Response to equipment Issues to Identify, diagnose and resolve supplier quality and supplier process related problems to achieve defined First Pass Yield, Productivity and Target Throughput.
Make the disposition of the defective material on site (analyse defects and whether to return to suppliers).
Perform the failure analysis using both the special failure analysis tools and on equipment level.
Drive programs (NPI and Supply Chain) to develop supplier manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
Provide technical support and drive continuous improvement systems to achieve problem resolution which involve the coordination between production, engineering, procurement and suppliers.
Support the new supplier selection process and new supplier qualification process and on boarding process.
Perform supplier audit and First Article qualification of components/assemblies.
Monitor and continually improve suppliers’ materials quality performance; compute monthly supplier quality perf and conduct Quarterly Business Review.
Drive supplier actions for timely factory manufacturing/materials issues resolution; troubleshoot and drive root cause failure analysis.
Qualifications:
Master's/Bachelor Degree majoring in Electro Mechanical/Electronics Engineering and/or related field.
At least 3 years of related SQE experience.
Experience in managing/resolving part/processes issues and experience in supplier quality management.
Good presentation skills and interactive skills to handle the Supplier including top mgt to derive results.
Ability to write report on supplier audit with proficiency in English.
Acquired the soft skills to interact with supplier Top Mgt for support to attain the required quality focus.
Capable to interface with the other departments to resolve technical issues.
