Position: Senior/Engineer, Process Development (Module)

Responsibilities

Be the key driver to ensure that REC Modules deliver world-class top-quality products through well-controlled processes and manufacturing flow, from material supplies to product deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure improvement, qualification, and implementation of new processes/products, including changes and/or new product introduction, aligned with overall production performance targets.
• Support production line issues with appropriate and permanent corrective solutions as needed.
• During plant expansion, work closely with process, equipment, and technology teams to establish good product quality and specifications.
• Support investment proposals and projects to utilize best practices and competencies.
• Support management directives and projects as needed.
• Possess strong project management skills, providing key milestones, timelines, and overseeing project completion on time.

Module Process Development Engineer

• Responsible for developing the bill of materials (BOM) used in PV modules.
• Redesign parts for cost and process improvements through alternative components, parts reduction, jigs, fixtures, and increasing yield, reducing cycle time, and improving quality.
• Provide guidance on material structure performance and optimal material selection to meet cost targets.

Knowledge in establishing, sourcing, and developing new materials, designs, and vendors (such as glass, EVA, back sheet, frame, junction box, etc.) to meet process, production, and cost improvement goals.
