The Energy Market Authority (EMA) is seeking candidates to develop energy infrastructure in Singapore. You will collaborate with various Government Agencies and stakeholders to plan and implement critical projects related to our energy future. Candidates should have a background in engineering disciplines, such as Electrical, Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering. What the role is:
What you will be working on:
Collaborate with Government Agencies on the forward planning of land needs for energy infrastructures, such as power stations, substations (HVAC/HVDC), Liquefied Natural Gas/Natural Gas/Hydrogen/Ammonia terminals, import landing facilities, electricity cables, gas pipelines, underground service ducts, tunnels, etc.
Work closely with the Transmission Licensee (SP PowerGrid) and Government Agencies to plan and implement major infrastructure projects, including electricity cables, tunnels, ducts, gas pipelines, transmission substations, and high-pressure gas transmission stations. This involves conceptual planning studies, budget estimation, utility requirement reviews, and service plan optimization (e.g., space utilization, co-location, alternative strategies).
Engage with other Government ministries and agencies (MTI, MND, MINDEF, URA, SLA, JTC, HDB, EDB, SFA, LTA, PUB, IMDA, NEA, NPark, etc.) and relevant stakeholders (nature groups, welfare organizations, etc.).
