A leading company in media production seeks an Engineer to support its broadcast IT systems. This role includes managing technical operations, leading a team, conducting maintenance, and supporting system projects. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience along with strong technical skills in broadcast and IT-related technologies.
The position requires the engineer to carry out tasks related to the support of broadcast and broadcast IT related equipment and systems, including activities such as management of support operations, system diagnosis, remediation and monitoring, system administration, patching and preventive maintenance. The position is also required to support the planning, management and implementation of broadcast IT system projects. In addition, the position may require leading a team of engineers to carry out technical support activities and project implementation tasks.
Supervise and communicate with a team of duty engineers, scheduling daily/weekly rosters and tasks to larger goals, and providing context and support
Support internal and external audit process for relevant compliance concerns. Coordinate and track all technology and security related audits including scope of audits, units involved, timelines, auditing agencies and outcomes
Support the management of tech-related risks for Mediacorp by reviewing processes and ensuring that adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk
Stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT, Broadcast IT and information security trends
Strategise and formulate system architecture, system enhancements and workflow optimisation
Providing technical support to broadcast equipment and systems in News Studios & News Post Production and Asset Management system, Outside Broadcast production van, News Room Computer System, Graphics Systems and etc.
Document, communicate, collaborate, and handle fault incidents
Assess system vulnerabilities and provide guidance, remediate and mitigate any reliability and security risks
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of broadcast IT equipment and systems
Work with different business units to provide technical solutions to enhance existing operation and setup
Evaluate and recommend new broadcast IT equipment and system
Project management and leading team in supporting implementation of broadcast IT system and infrastructures projects, including the support in drafting of technical specifications and costings documentations
Perform shift and standby duty to support broadcast system and infrastructures
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security or equivalent. CCNA, Certification in Information Technology networking field is an advantage
Microsoft certifications such as MCSA preferred
Project management experience preferred
Relevant work experience (3-5 years) in IT, Broadcast or Media Production related field preferred
Relevant experience in cloud technology and implementation of enterprise system architecture preferred
Network troubleshooting skills of IT devices maintenance and experience with management and configuration of networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls) will be preferred
Perform shift and standby duty to support broadcast system and infrastructures
