Senior Engineer (Office of Campus Planning)

Job Function: Ancillary

This position focuses on Campus Redevelopment, where planning has started. You will support the Office of Campus Planning by working closely with the design team, medical planner, and users to prepare technical specifications for tenders, evaluate submissions, and provide recommendations based on technical compliance of medical equipment, furniture, and fitment for the new Campus.

You may also be required to support the Group / Site team to familiarize with Group BME policies and procedures through supporting daily operations to ensure alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and supporting planning and procurement of medical, non-medical equipment, and furniture (where required)
  2. Planning and leading user workgroups by organizing meetings, setting goals, facilitating discussions, guiding departments, and reviewing performance indicators and work plans
  3. Managing budgetary planning and control to keep development within budget
  4. Collaborating with user departments and stakeholders to prepare specifications for tenders
  5. Recommending based on technical compliance during tender evaluations
  6. Supporting tender committees in evaluating equipment and services
  7. Staying informed on healthcare planning topics to guide hospital development
  8. Supporting the campus planning team and Group biomedical engineering functions
  9. Supporting daily operations to align with policies and standards
  10. Liaising with external contractors on service and tender issues
  11. Providing technical advice to end users and management
  12. Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Discipline:

  1. At least a Diploma in Electronics or relevant Engineering with 5+ years of experience in medical equipment service and maintenance
  2. At least a Degree in Electronics or relevant Engineering with 3+ years of experience in medical equipment service and maintenance
