Job summary

Rolls-Royce Solutions Asia PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Mechanical in Singapore to deliver advanced technical support, troubleshooting, commissioning and maintenance for MTU engines and related systems across marine and power generation applications.

You will diagnose complex issues, lead field service activities, review engineering documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction. Domestic travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Marine or related engineering.
• 5–7 years hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and power generation or marine propulsion equipment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; willingness to travel locally/regionally.

• Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and engineering documentation.
• Manage site activities and ensure timely completion of service assignments and projects.
• Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and project updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve service processes, product reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring when required.

Position Summary

The Senior Engineer, Mechanical is responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and project execution services for MTU engines and associated systems. The role serves as a technical specialist, supporting customers and internal stakeholders to ensure high equipment reliability, operational performance, and customer satisfaction across marine and power generation applications.

Position requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, power generation systems, or marine propulsion equipment.
• Proven ability to handle complex technical issues independently and effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication, customer engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of MTU engines and systems is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with marine or power generation applications is preferred.
