Job description

Job Purpose


The candidate will be required to lead the mechanical design and systems engineering related activities for Liquid Cooled Fuel Cell System. He will be tasked to integrate complete systems and his key responsibilities include concept designs, full engineering calculations and analysis, prototyping and productization activities. He may also be tasked to lead and train junior engineers.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to plan and execute projects for hydrogen fuel cell related projects.
  • Design & develop mechanical, structural and hydraulic systems.
  • Responsible for safety and legal compliance of projects. Conduct FMEA and Risk Assessment for projects.
  • Responsible for technical related aspects, especially mechanical and hydraulics department, for projects.
  • Provide technical solutions to business/commercial teams.
  • Lead and train team of junior engineers.
  • Preparation of Bill of Material, engineering drawings, work instructions and other technical documents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of design, automations or systems engineering experience
  • Experience in entire product development lifecycle is highly advantageous
  • Familiar in safety related standards, or any EHS/OSHA guidances/standards, or experienced in Risk Assessment
  • Experienced in 3D modelling softwares such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, AutoDesk or CATIA
  • Experienced in preparation of engineering drawings
  • Knowledge or experience in hydraulics, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), electrical engineering or power electronics, and control software logics will be advantageous
  • A high level of proficiency in the English language is required. Proficiency in Chinese (both spoken and written) would be an added advantage for effective communication with Chinese counterparts and stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate should be hands-on and proactive in their approach.
