Job summary

Exyte in Singapore seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to drive projects from concept through handover, ensuring sustainability targets are embedded in the design and tender documentation is prepared accurately. You will lead meetings, coordinate with QA/QC, and mentor junior engineers to support ongoing company growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 10 years of design and construction experience
• Technically competent across the full range of Mechanical Systems

Responsibilities

• Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover
• Ensuring sustainability targets are incorporated into the design
• Producing the tender documentation, including project specifications and contract schedules such as Summary of Tender and Schedule of Rates
• Progressing the design in accordance with the Design Checklist
• Chairing Sub-contractor progress meetings
• Chairing Mechanical Department Client weekly Meetings
• Liaising with Quality Assurance / Quality Compliance Engineers to ensure they are aligned with the requirements of the specification
• Mentoring of an Engineer with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company
• Ensuring each System Supervisor is provided with the current and applicable shop and space management drawings
• Ensuring the System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation
• In the absence of a Project based Lead Engineer, the Senior Engineer shall assume the role and responsibilities assigned to the Lead Engineer position

Education
