Job description

In your new role you will:

  • Act as the local and global Application Owner (AO) for assigned Material Handling Automation (MHA) applications.
  • Represent the local site as a technical advisor on MHA topics, collaborating closely with the global team in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.
  • Oversee and manage local and global customer consulting in the Production environment.
  • Lead and guide smaller project teams, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery.
  • Translate user requirements into tailored MHA solutions.
  • Take responsibility for transferring existing solutions from other sites to the local site.
  • Actively contribute to knowledge sharing across both local and global teams, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Implement new features into existing applications and develop innovative automation solutions, adhering to approved technologies and Infineon’s FI architectural guidelines.
  • Conduct Automation Capability Management (TOS/ACM) testing and engage in technical negotiations with equipment vendors.
  • Perform functional testing of MHA components prior to their rollout into production.
  • Foster best practice exchange with global team members to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage documentation work in EA.
  • Oversee and manage external onsite/offsite development teams.


You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related Engineering field (such as Electrical, Electronic, Microelectronics, or Semiconductor Technology).
  • Proven experience in factory automation solution design, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and systems.
  • Strong project management background with expertise in application development within Manufacturing IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor automation, including material handling, Material Control Systems (MCS), material identification, and storage systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of semiconductor equipment integration, with familiarity in SEMI Standards and SECS/GEM protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive mindset for supporting production environments, with a commitment to a zero-defect approach.
  • Solid understanding of existing automation solutions and their applications.
