A transportation company in Singapore seeks an experienced engineer to manage Signaling and Communications projects. You will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, lead a motivated team, and facilitate technical performance across projects. Ideal candidates possess a relevant degree and strong communication skills, along with a proven track record in signaling or communications engineering.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Land Transport Authority (LTA), contractors and inter-departments to ensure the smooth handover of New Rail Financing Framework (NRFF) Class E SPLRT Signaling & Communications projects to maintenance team.
Ensure punch-list and all defects are rectified prior to handover of Transfer of Care, Custody and Control (TCCC).
Review and ensure Design Acceptance Requests (DARs), Single Line Drawings (SLDs), Method Statement Risk Assessment (MSRAs) and other documents meet the maintenance standards of safety, reliability, availability and service of the systems.
Ensure installation worksand testing procedures are carried out in accordance to approved construction drawings.
Ensure equipment and system specifications comply with IT Security Policy and are also in-line with Code of Conduct Operating Procedures (CCOP) and Code of Operations (CP8).
Participate in Testing & Commissioning to ensure system performance is met and that there will not be negative impacts to operation.
Ensure that legacy systems equipment are properly de-commissioned and disposed of.
Review that contractor licenses are valid for required maintenance work.
Lead and motivate the team to meet work deliverables.
Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunication / Computer/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
Preferably with at least 6 years of relevant working experience in Signalling or Communication Engineering.
Diploma holders with at least 10 years of working experience in Communication Engineering may also be considered.
Strong people, planning and organising skills.
Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Matured personality and good team player.
Resourceful, self-motivated and result-oriented.
Able to identify colors in the course of work.
