Job summary

Rakuten Viki is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to help evolve our mobile and TV applications for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. You will work closely with product and design to deliver polished interfaces and robust features across platforms.

You should have 5+ years of native iOS experience, deep knowledge of Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and strong multithreading/memory management skills. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential to raise the user experience.

As a Senior Engineer, iOS at Viki, you will work on improving our mobile and TV apps, collaborating closely with product and design teams to create innovative user interfaces and features optimized for mobile platforms. You will explore new technologies, prototype leading‑edge concepts, and contribute to media‑streaming solutions across Apple TV, mobile apps, Chromecast and other platforms.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of experience building native applications for iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.
• Proficient with Swift and iOS frameworks such as UIKit and SwiftUI.
• Deep understanding of iOS framework internals, including multithreading and memory management specific to mobile devices.
• Ability to innovate ways to increase application efficiency and connectivity, with an emphasis on improving the core user experience.
• Collaboration skills to work closely with product and design teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Video streaming experience.
• Product design experience with a focus on user analytics.
• Experience with testing frameworks.
• Prior experience working with in‑app subscriptions.
