A leading hospital in Singapore seeks a Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee facility maintenance and compliance with fire safety regulations. The role involves coordinating electrical shutdowns, managing contractors, and ensuring statutory compliance for hospital operations. Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering degree and possess substantial experience in facility management.
You will manage hospital facilities and systems. This includes coordinating annual electrical shutdowns across hospital premises, maintaining existing structures and developing comprehensive programmes for planned maintenance and services. You will also manage service partners and contractors as well as provide technical advice to user departments. In addition, you will coordinate fire safety requirements and Green Mark certification tasks to ensure statutory compliance, investigate safety incidents and prepare reports.
Requirements
• Degree in Electrical / Power / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Marine Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in planning and executing annual electrical shutdown
• Ability to interpret electrical single-line diagrams, schematic drawings and wiring layouts
• Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical systems will be advantageous
• Proficient in design calculation, cost estimation, preparation of plans and detailed engineering design
• Able to communicate effectively, establish priorities and multi-task
