Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore is looking for a Facilities UPW/WW Engineer to manage Ultra-Pure Water and Wastewater systems. In this role, you will oversee operations, coordinate maintenance, and drive improvement projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of cleanroom environments and water treatment processes. This position offers accelerated career growth with exposure to advanced technologies.

What You Will Do

• Plan, coordinate and supervise day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of the Ultra‑Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Local Scrubber Recycling system (LSR) and other water treatment systems to maintain maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
• Coordinate and liaise with contractors/vendors to implement corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
• Study, plan and implement engineering projects and engineering solutions including upgrades, retrofits, system expansion and maintenance.
• Support and enforce safety compliance and government regulations. Ensure waste water discharge meets PUB discharge limits and identify any potential problems with wastewater discharge.
• Initiate, evaluate, plan, design and supervise improvement/upgrading/new projects for relevant water systems.
• Propose, plan and implement water recycling projects to reduce overall water consumption whenever possible in meeting the Long‑term Sustainability goal.
• Plan, design and lead Control Automation engineering projects includes new construction, system upgrading and quality improvement.
• Attain environmental sustainability roadmap through green initiative. Improve water and waste recyclability rate by embarking to new technology breakthrough.
• Identification, evaluation, and potential implementation of advanced technology on Water systems to improve electricity, waste or water reduction.
• Plan & coordinate with vendors & internal operations for major consumable replacement works, plant repair works and any other works required for the UPW Plant, WWTP and reclaim plants.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or environmental engineering
• At least 3 years of experience on Ultra‑Pure Water (UPW) & Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) systems
• Experience in working in Cleanroom environment
• Good knowledge in water treatment process for Ultra‑Pure Water
• Technical knowledge in pumps, hydraulics.
