Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore seeks a Production Controller to plan and manage production schedules for wafer fab operations. You will coordinate workflows to meet shipment dates and forecasted demand, while expediting when needed.

The role requires 1–3 years in production control, strong communication, and problem-solving skills. A 12-hour rotating shift (3–4 days) is supported, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in production control, preferably in wafer fab/Electronics/Electrical industry.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
• Willing to support 12-hours rotating shift. (3 or 4 days' work week)

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and workflows to meet shipping dates per sales forecasts or customer orders.
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and adapts plans for unforeseen conditions.
• Analyzes plant capacity and production data to determine processes and resources; prepares production reports.
• Lead, manage and train Wafer Fab Operators/Technicians to meet daily targets and overall goals.
• WIP and Tool Management: balance WIP, manage held/queued lots, supervise PM and capacity.
• Allocate and deploy manpower for optimum productivity.
• Present daily production indices in module meetings and highlight priorities for Engineering.
• Ensure safety, discipline, and housekeeping in the work area.

What You Will Do

• Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders .
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepares production reports.
• Lead, manage and train a team of Wafer Fab Operators / Technicians in the day-to-day operations to meet daily targets and overall Operation Goals – Cycle time, Throughput, Prototype success and Fabout Shipment plan
• WIP and Tool Management – WIP Balancing, Held and Queue lots Management, manage equipment PM, capacity and constraint
• Allocate and deploy manpower effectively for optimum productivity
• Present daily production indices in module meetings and highlight key priorities for the Engineering team to focus
• Ensure and uphold safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance in work area by all personnel
• Ensure proper documentation and continuously updating manufacturing Standard Operation Procedure
• Engage support groups like IE and Engineering to ensure accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints and UPH are used in the tools capacity modeling
• Engage CIM, AMHS, and MFG Systems team for system improvement
• Drive quality and productivity improvement projects

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
