Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation in Singapore is seeking an Equipment Engineer specializing in Diffusion/Implant to optimize tool performance and yield. You will apply SPC/DOE methods, develop PM plans, and work with vendors to resolve issues.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical or related field, at least 3 years in Implant/WET/Furnace equipment, and hands-on experience with Varian, Axcelis, GSD, AMAT tools.

• Minimum 3 years of Diffusion (Implant/WET/Furnace) equipment experience required.
• Familiar with implant tools: Varian E500, VIISTA900, VIISTA HCP, GSD, Axcelis HE/VHE, AMAT XR80.
• Strong logical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments and work under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistical tools (SPC, DOE, FDC, ECMS) to optimize equipment performance and robustness.
• Establish and optimize preventive maintenance plans to improve equipment quality, cost, and productivity.
• Work with vendors to resolve equipment issues and improve performance.
• Collaborate with Process and Manufacturing Engineers to address yield and operational issues.
• Manage spare parts and consumables inventory to support maintenance based on production forecasts.
• Lead new equipment start-up from facility hookup to production acceptance.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.
• Set targets to minimize wafer scrap, reduce equipment cost per wafer, and optimize utilization.
• Provide training to AEs and TAs on troubleshooting, equipment knowledge, and risk assessment.
• Follow up on SPSR, MRB, 8D, TECN, and ECN documentation for issue resolution.
• Develop long-term solutions for recurring hardware and operational issues.
• Create and maintain implant operation SOPs and work instructions.

• Strong logical thinking capability and good analytical skill


• Able to adapt in a fast‑paced environment and work under pressure


• Proficient in MS Office Applications
