Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with vendors and internal customers to provide quality services, ensuring business application and infrastructure needs are effectively supported.
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot network computer and telecommunication systems, related peripheral devices, and area networks.
- Assist in the planning, installation, and maintenance of network systems and components.
- Stay updated with the latest network computer systems, operating systems, innovations, and industry best practices.
- Ensure proper functioning of information systems and timely resolution of end-user computing issues to meet service level agreements.
- Support end users on application issues and promote efficient utilization of applications to support business objectives.
- Assist in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of application and infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure IT application and infrastructure controls comply with RTX policies and SOX requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation, access control, and change control processes for applications to meet compliance standards.
- Support the execution of infrastructure controls to meet compliance requirements.
- Lead and support business unit projects to ensure requirements and milestones are met in alignment with corporate DT.
- Collaborate with RTX / Collins Aerospace DT organization to leverage IT systems and resources effectively.
Additional Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Ignition and/or Kepware for industrial automation, including scripting, tag configuration, and OPC communications.
- Database skills, including configuration, SQL query development, and data integration with control systems.
- Experience with APIs for system interoperability and data exchange between platforms.
- Python programming for automation, data processing, and scripting within industrial and IoT environments.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist or back up the duties of other site DT Leads.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience and Education
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Digital Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Preferred Skills
- In-depth knowledge of connected factory technologies, IoT platforms & connectivity, cross-platform protocols, automation systems, MES, ERP, and data analytics tools.
- Project management skills, including experience with Agile or EVM methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.
