Job summary

Public Service Division seeks an Engineer at Principal/Senior/Assistant level to manage and design commuter facilities—ensuring safe operation and compliant maintenance. The role covers tender specs, contract oversight, and coordination with developers and agencies.

You will also review drawings, provide professional guidance, handle public feedback, and maintain GIS/inventory systems. A background in civil construction materials is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Civil/Structural Engineering with Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Geographic Information Science/Geoinformatics knowledge.
• Strong interest in technology and data analysis.
• Independent, self-motivated and possess good project management skills.
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the management, maintenance and engineering design of commuter facilities (covered linkways, pedestrian bridges, footbridges, shelters).
• Lead the preparation of tender specifications and manage contracts for inspection/maintenance of facilities.
• Review construction drawings and advise developers/agencies on maintenance projects.
• Maintain GIS map layers and inventory management programmes.
