Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Group Facilities Management team. Reporting to the Institution Lead, you will oversee, operate, and enhance Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) and Mechanical Systems within the hospital premises. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring infrastructure reliability, patient safety, and operational excellence in a complex healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operation, maintenance, modification , and replacement works of M&E services, hospital facilities, and non-clinical equipment
- Oversee outsourced maintenance agents to ensure optimal performance against KPIs, with systems always functional and compliant
- Audit and enforce maintenance standards in line with hospital protocols, including infection control and patient safety requirements
- Plan and manage cyclical, upgrading, and system improvement projects , including MOH and hospital-funded initiatives
- Act as Project Manager for improvement works, renovations, retrofitting, and specialised system upgrades
- Provide technical expertise and support in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and recommending replacements for system faults
- Prepare technical documentation , including specifications, cost estimates, and work schedules for planned works
- Coordinate with external consultants , participate in inspections, and facilitate project handovers
- Ensure workplace safety and fire safety practices are upheld by outsourced teams
- Support the Facilities Security Management (FSM) in fire and training-related activities
- Assist in security planning and infrastructure development for campus-wide initiatives
- Manage service recovery efforts for equipment breakdowns to minimise operational disruption
- Raise and process work requisitions for breakdowns and replacements
- Enforce house rules , including conducting inspections of work sites for quality and compliance
- Carry out any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience
(Diploma holders with a minimum 8 years experience may also apply) - Proven track record in managing ACMV and M&E systems in healthcare or critical facility settings
- Strong knowledge in building services, system diagnostics, and improvement project execution
- Certificate in Fire Safety Manager/Officer or equivalent experience is an advantage
- Effective communicator with strong project management and supervisory skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently under pressure
