Job description:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform system and architecture design of Ship Management System (SMS).
  • Perform system integration for SMS with third party systems.
  • Perform, coordinate, manage and support of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Set to work (STW) and Harbour Acceptance Test (HAT).
  • Perform software configuration management and technical documentation.
  • Perform hardware / software maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with customers, project manager and other engineering trades.
  • Ensure operationality and functionality of SMS during the maintenance period of the vessel life cycle.
  • Maintain close working relationships with customer, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience in Site Testing and commissioning.
  • Knowledge in PLC programming and SCADA software.
  • Knowledge in control & instrumentation, and control system design.
  • Knowledge in computer administration, cybersecurity and networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of standard industrial protocols like Modbus RTU/TCP, RS422/485, NMEA, CANbus J1939.
  • Knowledge of international codes, Marine Classification/Statutory Rules and Regulations will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Python, JSON, Restful, Machine Learning and Data Analytics experience will be an advantage.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Computer, those with other engineering experiences are also welcome.
  • At least 3 years experiences with system architecture design, system maintenance, and/or networking.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, as well as able to lead a small team.
  • Possess good communication skills to communicate with suppliers and customers at all levels.
  • Possess good analytical skills and good problem-solving & troubleshooting skills.

Other Information:

  • Location: Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided).
  • 5 days work week.
  • Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm.
