- Drive overall quality improvement initiatives, including Advanced Improvement Projects (AIP) and Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP), to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Monitor, control, and continuously improve in-process quality performance, with a focus on reducing defect indicators such as xRB, parts per million (ppm), and Quality Assurance Engineering (QAE) issues.
- Validate the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) submitted under QAE documentation, using structured methodologies such as the 8D approach, and ensure timely closure of all action items.
- Participate in customer audits and respond to quality-related questionnaires, while driving improvement initiatives to minimize audit findings and strengthen overall compliance.
- Perform technical reviews of customer specifications to ensure alignment with internal control plans and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) requirements.
- Conduct Internal Quality Audits to identify gaps, risks, and areas of weakness, and implement corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain and uphold the STATS ChipPAC Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with internal standards and industry requirements.
- Develop and deploy Best Known Methods (BKM) across processes, including error-proofing initiatives, and facilitate knowledge sharing across operations to improve consistency and performance.
- Actively participate in the Quality Operating System (QOS+) across the organization, driving improvement initiatives to achieve a minimum Level 4 QOS scorecard rating.
- Lead and facilitate “Deep Dive” review sessions with Operations teams to analyze key quality indicators such as xRB cases, 8D reports, process capability (Cpk), and other performance metrics.
- Review key customer project deliverables during tollgate reviews to ensure quality requirements are met and project milestones are achieved successfully.
Required Experience and Qualifications(Required knowledge, skills and experience---however acquired):
Degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent with min 3 on Outgoing Quality Assurance or In Process Quality Assurance experiences, preferably in semi conductor industry or IC packaging environment
Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949 with internal auditing experience is a must
Certified Lead assessor preferred
Experience in APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, DOE and Process FMEA preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet / Microsoft word / Power point
Strong knowledge of ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards and ESD Association guidelines is advantageous
