Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a senior engineer to lead the architecture and development of embedded software for high-performance security products. You will shape system designs, interfaces, and verify components across software and hardware platforms.

The role demands 5+ years in embedded software, proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Python, and Linux customization, plus strong leadership and collaboration skills. On-site work near Marymount MRT in Singapore is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software architecture, design and development.
• Proficient in C/C++, Rust, Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong embedded Linux experience and hardware software integration.
• Solid knowledge of network protocols and cloud concepts.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker).
• Excellent communication and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, secure embedded software/firmware systems.
• Define system-level architecture, interfaces, and integration strategies.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and blueprints.
• Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software modules.
• Customize embedded Linux OS (Yocto, Petalinux) for product needs.
• Develop GUI tools in C# if applicable.
• Lead and mentor software engineers across projects.
• Review architecture, code, and test plans; enforce best practices.
• Oversee Linux-based development and system integration.
• Prepare production-ready binaries and support manufacturing.
• Engage stakeholders to align requirements and architecture.
• Produce technical documentation and uphold engineering standards.
