Job Description

You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of firmware/embedded software for next-generation functional safety IO, in accordance with engineering best practices/processes, and in partnership with team members across the globe. You should possess working knowledge of creating and debugging embedded/software applications. You will participate in or conduct technical reviews with peers to identify problems early in the development phases and demonstrate the ability to meet project deliverables on time, working effectively in a diverse team environment.

Job Requirements
  • Degree/Master in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a focus on Embedded Software engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in developing Real-Time Embedded Systems. More experienced candidates may be considered for a Staff position.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, especially C.
  • Experience in industrial control systems is a plus.
  • Experience programming 32-bit microcontrollers (ARM preferred) and developing low-level device drivers.
  • Experience with functional safety product development is advantageous.
  • Experience with embedded system development areas such as RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, ThreadX), communication protocols (Ethernet, USB, WIFI, CAN, Profibus).
  • Familiarity with automated unit testing, hardware debugging tools, Agile processes, static analysis tools, and version control systems like Git.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in multicultural teams.
  • Open-minded, creative, willing to experiment, and capable of bringing innovative solutions.
  • Experience with IEC61508 functional safety standards is a plus.
