Job description

We are looking for a

Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) Engineer (m/f/d)

to join our Engineering department at Advario in Singapore, starting as soon as possible.

Your Tasks:

  • Be a part of the team towards preparation of technical specification and requirement for Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects and evaluate contractor’s offers. Ensure proper integration of design during project execution, testing and commissioning phase.

  • Participate in project team to analyse and troubleshoot existing system and processes, identify and implement improvement projects to optimize system performance.

  • Evaluate Functional Design Specifications and supervise changes to Integrated Control and Safety Systems.

  • Selection, engineering and commissioning of measuring equipment on site including Tank Gauging and Custody Transfer Systems.

  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and/or Hazard & Operability Studies (HAZOP).

  • Ensure compliance with Advario’s global Technical Standards (ADTS) and collaborate closely with the global engineering team (CED).

  • Be part of the Automation Strategy implementation team of the Asia Pacific cluster of Advario.

Job Profile:

  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university or equivalent.

  • Min. 10 years of hands-on engineering and construction experience in refinery, large marine terminals or process plants.

  • Ability to read and check Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs).

  • Familiar and have an extensive knowledge with IEC, IEEE, ATEX, NFPA regulations regarding the Oil & Gas Industry, local regulations and national codes.

  • Extensive knowledge of regulations regarding Instrumented Safety installations according to IEC-61508/61511.

  • Familiar with Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF), Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD) & Probability of Failure per Hour (PFH) calculations, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) determinations and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).

  • Able to create and maintain load balances and single line diagrams (SLD).

  • Knowledge of Motor Control Centres (MCC), drives and electrical tracing.

  • Experience with designing installations for medium and low voltage, performing cable, short circuit and load calculations

  • Strong ability with design and construction aspects specifically relating to explosive atmospheres.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (MS Excel, MS Word).

  • Highly motivated and independent individual who can integrate and participate well in a diversified team environment, strong analytical and problem solving skills, have a positive attitude, able to multi-task and work under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • English both written and verbal. Being multilingual is a plus.

  • Certified for Low Voltage (LV)/ Medium Voltage (MV) power supply, distribution, switch gears and transformers is a plus.

  • Class 3 manual driving license. Class 4 manual driving license is a plus.

  • This position is based in Jurong Island

  • Official Working hours: Mon - Fri, 0830 - 1700 hours
