Job summary

Michael Page Singapore is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to drive the transfer of complex electrical and embedded products from design to manufacturing. You will lead NPI, sustain engineering, and ramp-up efforts, while coordinating testing and validation across electrical and embedded subsystems.

The role requires a strong foundation in analog/digital electronics, PCB design (Altium), and problem-solving methods (FMEA, DOE, 8D).

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Embedded/Mechatronics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead product transfer activities from development into manufacturing operations.
• Support NPI, sustaining engineering, and production ramp-up activities.
• Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, yield, and cost performance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering changes, BOMs, validation plans, and manufacturing procedures.
• Support electrical design activities including schematics, PCBAs, component selection, and design-for-manufacturability reviews.
• Coordinate testing, verification, and validation activities for both electrical and embedded systems.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure successful product deployment.

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in product engineering, NPI, manufacturing engineering, or sustaining engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuit theory, and PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Experience with embedded systems integration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, or Ethernet.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of engineering methodologies including FMEA, DOE, 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of engineering change management, BOM structures, and product lifecycle processes.
• Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing industries is advantageous.
• Exposure to FPGA technologies, LabVIEW, Python, SAP, or PLM systems will be beneficial.
