Job summary

CAI is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead electrical commissioning and testing for client projects across industrial facilities. You will coordinate with vendors, contractors and site teams to ensure safe, on-schedule delivery of electrical systems and documentation.

You will apply knowledge of switchgear, UPS, ATS, batteries and generators, review drawings and test plans, and provide technical guidance to the client and project manager throughout the commissioning process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical P&IDs.
• Knowledge of mission critical design concepts.
• Knowledge of Electrical Distribution Switchgear, Substations, UPS, ATS, Batteries, Emergency Diesel Generators & Load Banks.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical commissioning and testing activities for client projects.
• Act as technical expert and advise on feasibility, cost, and procedures.
• Coordinate information from vendors, clients and contractors to lead decisions.
• Develop and approve test scripts and ITPs.
• Prepare technical reports on commissioning status.
• Ensure delivery quality matches client specifications.
• Track progress and communicate updates to project team.
• Support engineering and commissioning deliverables development.
