Job description

You’ll have the opportunity to work within our Engineering and Digital teams, supporting Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives by evaluating and integrating shopfloor technology solutions with site infrastructure.

Your missions

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and comparison of shopfloor system solutions, including MES platforms such as Siemens Opcenter, PAS-X, and other relevant solutions.
• Assess proposed solutions from both functional and infrastructure perspectives.
• Coordinate with business, application, infrastructure, and global teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Analyze interactions between shopfloor applications and infrastructure components (servers, hardware, memory, networks).
• Support the adoption and deployment of new shopfloor solutions within the existing technical environment.
• Investigate and troubleshoot application issues related to infrastructure limitations or dependencies.
• Oversee application lifecycle management, including implementation, upgrades, maintenance, obsolescence, and decommissioning.
• Provide architectural guidance to ensure alignment between business requirements, application functionality, and technical infrastructure.
• Contribute to Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, and manufacturing digitalization initiatives.

Your profile

• Experience with shopfloor, manufacturing, or industrial IT systems.
• Knowledge of shopfloor solutions, particularly Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), data historians, ERP integrations, industrial IoT platforms, and IT-OT integration.
• Understanding of system architecture and application infrastructure.
• Familiarity with servers, hardware, memory, system capacity, and infrastructure dependencies.
• Experience supporting application lifecycle management.
• Ability to evaluate and compare technical solutions based on business, application, and infrastructure requirements.
• Experience in a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Academic background: degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• English fluent. Additional languages are a plus.
• You demonstrate strong coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across business, functional, infrastructure, and global teams.
• Knowledge of validation requirements, change management, incident management, and problem management would be advantageous.
