Job summary

A global flavor and fragrance company is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist in Singapore to support the EHS Manager and promote EHS culture. You will be involved in compliance, risk assessments, and training. Ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. This role emphasizes direct involvement in safety procedures within a dynamic production environment. Remote working is on-site.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Chemical/Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Offshore environments.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, proactive and result oriented.
  • Willing to perform hands-on jobs in production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical resource on EHS and fire protection.
  • Compile EHS data, reports and documentation for monthly meetings.
  • Develop EHS programs for compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead programs for recognition and evaluation of hazards.

Senior EHS Specialist- Your future position?

As a Senior EHS Specialist, you will be under the leadership of the EHS Manager, giving support on his daily job and especially on one or more EHS specifications as well as promoting the EHS culture across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Be a technical resource on Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and fire protection.
  • Compile EHS data, reports and documentation and present information during monthly WSHC meeting.
  • Develop EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments & workplace inspections to recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Conduct training classes and education programs to reinforce EHS awareness.
  • Lead and implement programs for the recognition, evaluation and control of physical and chemical hazards.
  • Evaluate new processes, chemicals and equipment pertaining to EHS aspects.
  • Oversee site security management and sustainability data such as waste reporting, water and electricity usage.
  • Other tasks/projects assigned by Supervisor.

Your professional profile includes:
  • Possess a Degree in Engineering.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM.
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in Chemical/Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical and Offshore (Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy) etc.
  • Dynamic, self- motivated, proactive and result oriented.
  • Willing to perform hands-on job in a production environment with laboratory and logistics operations.
  • Open to be based on-site in Pioneer.
