Senior EHS Engineer - Marine

Purpose of Role:

Maintains the organization EHS management system by inspecting the implementation of EHS Management System, performing frequent audits on the operational control, evaluating against the compliance to legal regulations, EHS MS, and other standards. Possesses analytical skills and values collaboration in order to solve problems.

Responsibilities:

• Supports project & department to comply with EHS regulations & policies
• Stays up-to-date on changes to safety regulations and industry best practices
• Collaborates with management and other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
• Prepares reports and presentations on safety performance and provides recommendations for improvement
• Plans and executes the safety management system audits
• Works with clients to develop or make improvements to the safety management system
• Works with operations/EHS team to develop policies and procedures specific to their needs
• Organizes and conducts EHS inspections on assigned projects
• Drives project EHSMS for compliance
• Participates in EHS related incident investigations
• Undertakes key department duties as assigned by Asst Mgr (EHS)/Mgr (EHS)

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree related to EHS or any Engineering fields
• Possess 3 years’ experience in EHS role
• Possessing Hotwork Assessor Certification & Confined Space Assessor Certification are added advantages
• Good understanding of Workplace Safety & Health Act & Shipbuilding & Ship Repairs regulation
• Good report writing, incident investigation, and analytical skills
• Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office for reporting and presentation purposes
• Only Singapore Citizens will be considered for this role
