  • Lead analysis:Lead the Digital Verification team's investigation of tactics and narratives behind mis/disinformation campaigns and influence operations.
  • Plan coverage: Help your team members develop clear, concise stories and videos that explain disinformation campaign tactics and objectives for a general audience. You may also represent CNA on TV or radio, offering context and explanation of disinformation stories to our audience.
  • Provide training: Mentor your team mates as well as help train other CNA journalists in basic mis- and disinformation research. Contribute to developing and documenting standards, systems and best practices for the newsroom's broader verification efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least five years of experience in journalism, verification outfits or equivalent roles. You should have a proven track record of successfully managing a team.
  • Analysis skills: Strong, data-driven analytical and research skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Technical expertise: Skilled in OSINT and digital forensic techniques, with proven experience in using data-driven or AI-powered research tools.
  • Social media acumen: Deep understanding of social media platform dynamics, and user behavior in this part of the world.
