Job summary

The Ministry of National Development in Singapore invites applications for a Senior / Researcher (Economics) in the Research and Strategy Management Division. You will conduct economic research to inform housing policies and land use planning, using theory, econometrics, and data science.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, develop dashboards, present insights to policy divisions, and engage stakeholders to support research and policy development.

Qualifications

• A good bachelor’s or graduate degree in Economics with strong analytical ability.
• Proficiency in econometrics or quantitative methods for policy analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication for presenting research findings.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, design, and conduct economic research informing housing and land-use policy.
• Apply econometric and data-analytic methods to analyze policy questions.
• Synthesize insights and present findings to Policy Divisions and senior management.
• Engage with colleagues, other divisions, and external stakeholders to support research and policy work.
