Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for maintenance of equipment and facilities by performing maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, loop check, calibration, and testing of site-wide instrumentation, control, and electrical systems to achieve high equipment reliability in compliance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements in a cost-effective manner.

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance activities according to procedures, good engineering practices, and cGMP.
  • Carry out Preventive/Predictive Maintenance of plant instrumentation, control, and electrical systems to ensure high reliability and availability.
  • Support the development of Preventive Maintenance SOPs/Procedures and tasks to maintain plant assets.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and locate sources of problems by observing instrument/electrical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using measuring tools and testing instruments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support investigations (IRS/QAR).
  • Support project construction and commissioning of plant equipment and systems through active involvement in punch listing and commissioning activities; discuss equipment improvements and modifications with Supervisors/Engineers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in areas under one’s responsibility.
  • Complete all assigned training on time and prior to work execution.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing desired results/KPIs.
KPIs include:
  • Safety incidents / lost time
  • Equipment uptime %
  • Repeated work orders
  • Hardware repair / replacement
Education

NITEC or Diploma in Engineering related qualifications, preferably in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or petrochemical industries for Senior position and minimum 2 years for Junior position. Fresh graduates will be considered.

Other Job-Related Requirements
  • Knowledge of instrument calibration, electrical system/equipment operations, and maintenance skills with experience working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management System, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and Right First Time techniques.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge in Electrical and Instrument Maintenance Troubleshooting and Analysis Skills.
